In search for a golf ball shell dimple pattern sheets Found.
I found at big hardware stores like Lowes and Homedepot. Its office fluorescent light covers. They have almost the same dimple pattern as a golf ball, they come in different patters, and they come in sheets were you can cut them to size. Anyone willing to try to cover their vehicle? Will post pics soon.

You can google fluorescent light covers. They almost like a golf ball pattern

If you are driving a 1.68" diameter car, and you plan on a lot of air time, than dimples are your friend. Otherwise, colossal waste of time. Do some research.
Fact is, 2 years ago I came to this sight thinking the same way as you looking for support on dimpling a car, I now know they are unsuitable.

What about what Mythbusters, when they tested that car with golf ball dimples the size of baseballs. They received better mpgs. Was it because of the baseball size dimples? Does the dimple size make a difference?

I don't know much about when dimples are good or not, but Lance Armstrong has dimpled sections on one of his racing jerseys. If I remember correctly they were on his arms (around the bicep area).

The dimples keep air attached on round objects - like the golf ball, or a leg, arm as seen head on ... - leading to a smaller wake and less drag.
On relatively flat surfaces, what most cars are made of, dimples won't work.
High speed skiers boattail their legs .
