It looks like a soul patch is required.

Good for them.

Curious that their roof wing or rear spoiler was so curved.

On my vehicle mine is that way because that's what the scrap piece I had on hand looked like.

They claimed that this was one of the more important pieces.

Perhaps extending it even further and supersizing it would give even better results.

With regard to the dual motors, I think that the Tesla web site states the overall range of the vehicle. It is interesting that the dual motor variants also have larger batteries. I doubt that there would be any improvement in going to dual motors, given the weight and mechanical drag that would be added.

...and a systems integration nightmare.

Better a single-wheel boattailed pusher through-the-road hybrid trailer.

A little teardrop with a kegerator and BBQ under the tail gate?

Yep, only reason for that complexity is AWD. My Lexus RX450h has a rear motor as well, and it is only used under extremes of acceleration, when there are traction issues or for regenerative braking. It does not add anything to the efficiency of the vehicle except for reducing rear brake wear slightly.

I've got one too, just not the rest of the Lexus

It came out of a LX400h.

sub- 0.15

Let's say you did everything and ended up at Cd 0.12,then
0.12/ 0.31 = 0.387 ,or, you have 38.7% of the original drag.A 61.3% drag reduction.
At a 2-to-1 ratio,you might expect a 61.3/ 2 = 30.6% mpge improvement at a constant 55-mph.

It might be larger for an EV.
