UPS hospital batteries

I'm a newbie and have taken interest in budget ev converting.
I know many of you on this site are keen on recycling car parts, fork lift parts, golf cart and so one to make a cheap car.
I was wondering what are your experiences with UPS batteries, I first heard they can be used for ev's on evconvert.com and have been curious/looking out ever since. As it turns, hospitals switch up batteries long before the batteries run out on their equipment for obvious reasons and this seems to me like an amazing opportunity.
Comments, ideas, opinions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Whatever you can get in bulk for free and in matching AmpHour ratings will be good. But it will be best to use 12ah and above batteries (12volt or 6volt) because they will be more robust and will last longer under the usage conditions of an EV.
Batteries with screw terminals being highly preferable.

And since you will be making a pack with batteries of varied usage and life cycles you'll want to monitor the voltage of all of the batteries individually, as well as the pack voltage.
And charging each battery individually will allow you to get the most out of them.

I was planning on using 7Ah UPS batteries I got for free in my electric riding mower until I decided using 24 of them was just going to be too big of a pain in the butt to mount vs going with 3-4 larger batteries.
