To Ecomod, or not to ecomod...that is the question.
So,
I've been sitting on an 1975 MG midget body for 5 years now and done absolutely nothing to the car except trip over it and stack junk in and on top of it as it sits in my garage waiting for me to make up my mind.
I have to believe that it is a somewhat fuel efficient gas sipping car as it sits originally, but do I do an EV conversion to it?
The cost of an original used running engine, tranny combo, VS the total cost of a DIY EV conversion. I'm guessing that a motor tranny wins hands down, but how much would it really cost to go ahead with the EV conversion? Where do I really begin to gather good data and filter outthe sales pitches?
Anyone here ever do a midget ( minds out of the gutter now, I didn't mean it like that )
Looking forward to your responses.
Bart
