Mustang HP2g engine efficiency

Hello, folks,

I know some out there would like to know just how efficient that engine is in the Mustang HP2g. I have the answer.

I used the published data for the car, and added the following information needed to determine engine efficiency--

Wheel rolling resistance coefficient..........0.006
Air density........................................... 1.20 kg/cu.m.
Drive train efficiency, shaft-to-wheels.......85%

Okay, then I calculated the engine efficiency, assuming the numbers are for gasoline, not E85 (giving the car owners the benefit of the doubt). I also did the calculations ignoring wind. Here is the engine brake efficiency range:

104% min to about 112% max.

Based on numbers in their fuel economy log.

I conclude that these folks should receive a prize for the first internal combustion engine to achieve over-unity output.

I admit I may have overlooked some important detail, and in that case I am sure somebody will come forward with that information.
