Wow. That royally sucks. Even my auto-headlight Buick has enough sense to keep the lights on when I hit the switch.
My mom's Subaru and my old Hyundai used to kill the lights on anything but "run". Even with the switch on. It might be an Asian car thing. It was annoying when wanting to use the headlights and not power on the rest of the electrical system.
