Well put Roger. I was worried that my comments would appear critical and I want to emphasize how impressed I am with Paulís contributions. I think we all understand how difficult it is to find time and energy to do something like this. In particular, a huge thank you to Paulís wife for supporting him. While Paulís electronics may be a bit basic, Iíve seen much worse from people who are supposed to be EEís. I should keep my ideas to myself until Iíve tried them myself but Iíll make one more suggestion: Ask your controller experts if rewiring the motor to bring out the field coil separately could be useful, both for improved speed and torque control, and for regenerative braking.

Way cool stuff guys,
Steve
