Sorry bud. The whiteblock is NOT designed by Porsche. Porsche was only involved in the final design and tuning of the 2 stage intake and exhaust manifolds on the original 1992 NA 850 GLT, 1 year before it ever came to the US. All that stuff was dropped after the 1994 model year. Porsche had nothing to do with the turbo whiteblock, especially the phase 2 motors after 1998.


Using the same driving techniques I've seen 39mpg in our 1996 5 speed NA 850 wagon. At 75mph cruise it does 32mph on 87 octane.
