I have a great deal of riding gear. I use a thick black leather jacket in the winter with insulated black leather gloves. Living right on the Gulf Coast helps alot, I'm lucky in that I get to ride 12 months a year. In the summer I use a white vented Power trip jacket with armor and Joe Rocket vented gloves.

I'm a big believer in wearing the correct gear. I never leave the house without riding boots, jacket, gloves, and a full face helmet. I've been riding all my life and I've been through a bad accident racing motocross. If I hadn't had the right gear then, I may not be here now. I still have that helmet with the gouges on it. Luckly I've never had an accident on a street bike, and I don't put myself in situations where I can get hurt. You never know about the other guy though, and I ride defensively all the time.

I filled the bike up today and managed 51.06 mpg, it's really paying off and I get to be "in the wind" once again. So wear your gear guys and enjoy the open road.
