Goal Achieved with my cammed V8 vehicle :)

I haven't post much in a good while, but after all the reading i did long time ago, and because i wanted to change the way the car was behaving on the street and track from my previous "Pro" dyno tune, i decided to take matters in my own hands and bought a tuning suite package for my vehicle that allowed me to control every aspect of my car performance, including those well needed MPG's

The Tuning story is too long and i'm not going go get into it, but i can say, that my car was doing 20-21mpg average (Freeway, driving at 65-75mph) back when i first posted on this site, with the "Pro" tune, and it's now doing 25-26mpg with my own tune on average, at the same speed, not only that but she gave me a 12.1@115mph 1.85 60' with 3825lbs race weight on Nitto DR's tires, car makes 415rwhp.

Details about the engine for the ones who don't know:

GM LS2 Engine, 364CI, with basically Long Tube Headers, Performance Mufflers, X pipe, CAI, and a 228/228 112 lsa camshaft , stock 243 heads, stock intake.

I wouldn't never get 40mpg with this car of course , but i'm happy about the average fuel i'm getting considering the car is tuned for 93 octane, plus if i look at my DIC to get instantaneous mpg readings, is showing me anywhere from 24.7 to 26mpg, flat road with no hills, at 70mph, and around 26 to 28mpg at 65mph. which gave me 25.2 mpg on average yesterday, and 26.1mpg this morning.

I'm also modifying my street driving habits, easy on the gas (which is a very hard to do ), plus shifting from 1st to 3rd to 5th then 6th instead of going through the gears, i'll keep an eye on average city mpg and i'll update the fuel logs here more often.

Great Site
