Okay, here's the new smaller side mirror installed:
I think my ultimate goal will be to install
video cameras on both sides, with this little mirror on the driver's side to meet the letter of the law. And both LCD screens mounted on the dash just above the steering wheel --- having the gauges in the center of the dash will be a big help for this! This way I will not be blocking any of the air bags in the car, either...
I should have added that this mirror really needs to be oriented horizontally, because it is convex and when it is vertical, things seem to be moving very quickly, and you can hardly use it.
