cooling

My immediate thought is that you're under-cooling.I don't believe the fan should ever come on above 40-mph.The ram air should take care of everything. If you do the bellypan later, that could conceivably lower your drag another 12% and she should run even cooler.Make sure that your ductwork between the reduced opening and radiator is air-tight otherwise the stagnation pressure will bleed away, compromising the cooling. If you have to,open some of the block.Driving is stressful enough without having to worry about over-heating.-------- Later on,when you've done other mods, you can close it back as your load will be reduced.-------- As to the GM chin spoiler, any of the "bottom-breathers" will have that to look at.Corvette,Trans Am Firebird, and some Camaros from mid-1990s on.
