Hello -
I took an alternate route to work today. Normally I avoid the 605 because the average speed is too fast (i.e. accident prone), which leads to lots of traffic jams. But, sigalert.com told me the way was clear so I rolled the dice :
Code:
ROUTE :
210 East -> 605 South -> 105 West -> 405 South -> Exit Freeway
=> Roughly 38+ miles
----
NET ELEVATION CHANGE : ~434 feet drop
----
SCANGAUGE "CURRENT" READINGS :
59.6 MPG,
0.7 Gallons,
204 Water Temp Max,
38.3 Miles,
2504 RPM Max,
0.7 Hours,
63 MPH Max,
49 MPH AVG
----
IAT READING : Hot Air Intake + dynamic grill block v3.0 led to
Input Air Temp readings of around 120+ degrees F.
----
WEATHER(.com) :
65 degrees F,
Cloudy,
64.5% Humidity,
52.5 degrees F Dew Point,
30.0 in. Pressure,
----
TIME : ~10:00 AM to ~10:42 PM (PST), ~42 minutes
I lost maybe 1-2 MPG at a 605-South traffic jam caused by a Caltrans far-left lane closure, but not enough to ruin the run. 59 MPG is a pretty good number. This implies that I could have a record run under goldilox weather/traffic conditions.
