It's not about "wearing down" or "it worked before, why mess with it"...

Been to the grocery store lately? 2 liter pepsi is cheaper than 20 oz pepsi. Plastic is expensive to manufacture, and as a result, raises the price of things that it contains exponentially. There's also the thing about plastic (PET) bottles taking 300 odd years to physically break down... paper doesn't take nearly that long, and is therefore a better option because it's both more environmentally friendly, and is more easily/cheaply recycled.

Oh - plastic is made from petroleum... ya know, the stuff we all should quit using.
