Just to clarify: CSA, Community Supported Agriculture is when you pay a farmer(s) a large sum before the growing season to give them the capital they need to grow for the season and support themselves - effectively buying a share of the farm and its production. Occasionally CSA shareholders are asked/required to help with the farm's labor. The farmer(s) then will distribute the bounty on a regular basis to the shareholders. This is often done at a farmers' market where the farmer(s) go to sell their bounty in a more retail fashion, but will also bring separate produce allocated for the shareholders to come pick up during the farmers' market's hours of operation. Sometimes CSA farms will also distribute the bounty directly to the shareholders' homes - this is usually not the case. In other cases, the shareholders must go directly to the farm to collect their regular bounty distribution.
