If you get a new pack and pay dealer rates, maybe. If you buy a battery pack out of salvage and put it in yourself (which takes maybe 2-3 hours) you're looking at maybe $400.

Where? From the dealer? Get Shell 0W-20 synthetic and the filter at your local WalMart, and it'll run around $20. Sure, synthetic oil is expensive, but with the Insight you only need 2 1/2 quarts. Filters are same price as any other car.

PS: If it wasn't for the cost of shipping it back to the mainland, I might go for it myself. Could always use a spare :-)
