Only things I can think of for a battery pack check is a hard acceleration, on an uphill if you have one, and see if the charge level quickly drops to zero instead of gradually decreasing. Or a long hill climb that keeps assist on at a lower level: you might see indicated charge drop slowly for a while, then a quick drop to zero.
(You could trigger an IMA light doing this. If so, don't panic. Just pull I think the #18 fuse from the inside box (by your left knee), wait 10 secs, and put it back, and you'll be good to go.)
If it does do the quick drop after some amount of normal assist, it's not necessarily a reason not to buy the car, since it can still go for years with the lesser capacity, especially if you drive mostly on the level.
