I'm guilty of the multi-dot sentence ender... (Yeah, that.)
I try to only correct the grammar of the people who are just "doing it wrong". I don't correct everyone, because that obviously only serves to piss people off. I can usually gauge the response I get, and judge from there if the person is open to learning the correct way to do things, or just interested in getting their (rather illiterate, grammatically incorrect) point across.
In the case of the latter, I usually just ignore the problems, make an honest attempt at deciphering what's going on, and make a concerted effort to finish the conversation (not conservation) as quickly as possible, so that I don't have to be further annoyed by a person's blatant disregard for the English language.
