Our second VX, the 1992, is having the wonky speedometer, this time with only 150K. Last time we went to the junk yard and they brought a whole speedometer cluster in from another yard. Cost too much.

Question: Has anyone repaired these by swapping out parts? I see lots of auto speedos on eBay, but I'm wondering if just the speedo head unit can be swapped between the auto and stick car?

Has anyone had success at just swapping out just the circuit board at the back of the speedometer?
