Well, I don't think you'll find the reactive attitude here at all.
RE: Taurus - They're great cars, as long as you only want the engine/ECU/wiring, and plan on shoehorning it all into an Escort chassis, purely for fun. Eco-minded goes out the window immediately when performing this swap... you can trust me on that one.
Taurii are just way too heavy, and even the SHO left room for improvement, except that you could tell it had some easy torque gains to be made from the 3.2 models. The "newer" generation of Taurii, which used the Duratec platform, had quite the issue with engines grenading due to the press-fit cam gears, which would slip - valves meet pistons and make sweet, sweet (rather expensive) love.
I'm still waiting to see how the 2010 Taurus SHO makes out with it's TT ECO-Boost V6.
