Not so bad...

In a sense, the bar is set "pretty low". All they have to do, any of the major car manufacturers, is build an ev that:

1. has decent range, 100 miles in the real world might qualify, 150 would be awesome.

2. not stupidly expensive.

3. not too ugly in the conventional sense, and not too ugly in the toy/prius sense. If they were smart, they'd come out with two models of the same drive train, one pretty radical looking with all the aero perks dialed in just right, and the other one pretty conventional for the consumers who don't want to preach EV to everybody that will possibly listen.

4. decent warranty so people can finally dismiss the, "how much does the battery cost, and how long does it last" objection.

This might be the car.

While this is a short list, and an easy list intellectually, it's not really an easy list to accomplish.

Anyway, if this is the car that hits the magic buttons, sales will be exponential when you look back from three years.

Finest regards,

troy
