In the race proper I ended up with a record shattering 64.75MPG. On the way home for our mini competition I was also met with heavy rain for a while, and also extreme sleepiness. I remember dropping .1mpg away from 60 just as I arrived home leaving me with 59.9mpg, but I remember the scangauge being 5mpg friendly during the competition (I thought I was going to get almost 70 when I pulled into the final gas station) so I probably actually got 54-55 on the trip home.
Never until about half a year ago would I think to expect more than 50MPG out of my car, and this group has pushed me to never accept anything - keep pushing, keep going, and always have a project. I'm really happy to have found EM, and it was great to meet up (again) with some of the more local ecomodders. Everyone did a damned impressive job.
