I didn't intend on hypermiling on the way home but ran into some nice traffic jams that started raising my trip mpg and encouraged me to do it over the last 75 or so miles...I ended up around 59 mpg for the trip home.
I'm not sure if I drove through Hurricane Bill on the way home but it was brutal conditions for about 50 miles. I moved about 1 mile in 20 minutes on the Mass Pike at one point. And over my last 20 miles of the trip I averaged around 40 mph in a heavy rain storm on the highway.
