Stick a 3' bar between the LCA and the radius rod, so that it goes over the LCA, then under the radius rod, from the back of the wheel. Hang a good amount of weight on it while you're hammering the sh!t out of the flat on the LCA (the spot you're already hitting). Also, if you have a propane torch and plan on replacing at least the boot, if not the ball joint, just go ahead and heat up the joint a bit, then hammer it.
PB blaster works well also.
