So i was hooking up my battery tender today and i had the strangest thought. Why does the stock seat raise me up about 4-6 inches higher than i could be?
I took my bike around the block without the seat on, and it felt very comfortable. My legs are definitely bent a bit more, but since I'm sitting lower there's less wind hitting me in the chest.

So this had me thinking. I think I'm going to try to find a cheap stock seat on ebay or craigslist and cut it up. There is a plastic frame underneath the seat that id need to reference for the mounting locations of the seat. I think it would be a double positive in my case. It would relieve stress off my back and also reduce drag since less wind is hitting my upper body.
