I have a quick side question (or 2) for you. I saw on your DIY block heater thread, that you had a header. Is there a worthwhile gain in MPG to be had from one? .. and is the header the same from the d15z1 to the rest of the d15's? My bearings seem allright, the leak was a double gasket on the oil filter, I suspect, they gave me a line about a faulty filter but I don't buy it, so I will be keeping this engine for as long as it takes me to find a good d15z1, and I don't want to buy a header now if it won't fit after the swap. Also, what did you do for a warm air intake?
