Legally speaking, Wayland can still claim to have the worlds fastest street-legal electric CAR, since the S-10 is a pickup. You all can chuckle, but it's done all the time...
In fact, Tesla is still claiming to be the only highway-capable PRODUCTION electric CAR for sale. There is a small group of 3-wheelers out there, but the Tango is a 4-wheeler, yet IIRC comes as a kit, so is not classified as a true production car...
Also, I believe that several others are close to production, so we'll see if Tesla stays with their claim or not...
