Very interesting that you have worked on the variable displacement and compression.
I once was working on that too when I was developping in Philips laboraties on Stirling engines. I did also get a patent on the choosen solution. See attached number.

My challenge on the ecomodder is now to make a Burgman Suzuki scooter fuel efficient. Next step is to reduce engine size by using a smaller bore size. My thread is under motorcycles.
