Exactly. And the bit about tire pressures is really annoying because there is NO PROOF that traction is reduced.
I have been searching for this for the last few years with little or no luck. But with clever, well worded articles like the top gear one above, the stupid sheep are fooled and they will do as they were told. That is, to drive fast and keep their tires soft so they'll have to replace them once per year while filling their tank once per week or earlier. The result? The Big Boys make lots of money.
