I have a CRX HF that I put a D15Z1, the engine from a civic VX. I have gotten upward of 60 mpg over the course of several hundred miles. Up here though I usually come in around 55 on the highway because I am surrouned by mountains for hundreds of miles. Big ones. My problem is that in the city I can only get between 35 and 40 mpg. I know I only work about three miles away so the car doesn't have ample time to heat up but I also notice that I have a considerable lack of power until the car warms all the way up. I mean 15 miles or so. I live in a small enough town in the middle of six hours of wilderness on each side so all my driving is city driving. By the way the 88-91HF doesn't have lean burn but I think the older ones had some kind of carbed CVCC.
