My electric bike motor tops out at almost 45mph and that's a little faster then walking! and faster then the segway! altho I currently have the batteries wired to limit the top speed to 24mph before you start to pedal because my state limits motorized bicycles to 30mph and I want to have to work a little to get to that speed.
I own it because the largest hills in town are between my house and my parents house and my house and work.
