First I must explain I have already gone 11.3 @ 130MPH running pump gasoline on street tires four years ago. This was in a heavy car, around 300lbs more then my current Honda. The engine lasted over 10 years without an issue. If I would have been on slicks it would have been a 10 second pass easily!!!

My new setup has a turbo that out flows my last engine by over 15lbs/min. The new engine is more built and will have a red line of 9200rpm verses my old setup of only 8200rpm. I have a friend with an identical setup and weight that has ran 10.3@142mph. So my goal is very achievable.

My Back ground...
I'm 48 years old. I come from a Muscle car background. My first car was a 1969 440 Dodge charger R/T

Cars that I have built and tuned since.
68 SS BBC565 nitrous fogger street car 8.02@178mph
68 RS/SS BBC 523 nitrous fogger street car 9.01@155mph
86 SBC 406 nitrous plate system 9.80@137mph
65 Mustang 351W BW400series turbo running a Haltech EFI on E85 10.15@136mph at only 7psi. It needs another Aeromotive pump, so its not turned up yet.

My newest project is the 68 RS/SS Camaro with a 565 BBC with
a blow thru system running twin BW400 series turbos.
This engine should be around 2000HP.

So as you can see I'm not just another Honda guy. I'm just a car guy. I don't care what brand you run or how fast you go. The only competition I have is myself. I'm always trying to improve on what I do. I don't even care that much about the racing part. I'm more into how things work.

My Honda love came from my son. He wanted a Civic hatch because thats whats cool now. So I bought my first Honda around 6 years ago. I didn't know jack about turbos or efi. What I found out change my life for ever. Young punks tuning their cars themselves with free software. This made me feel lost so I attended my first efi class (efi101 by Ben strader) and I was hooked. Now I'm tuning around 50 turbo efi cars a year to the point I got sick of it.

Last year one of my sons best friends buys a LS Vtec engine with 280k on it and wants to turbo it, but has very little money. I expalin to him that this is crazy running a stock engine with this many miles then subject it to over twice the amount of Hp it was ever design for. But guess what we did it anyways. The car is his DD and he drives it constantly. We put a 60-1 turbo on it and ran 14psi worth of boost. The car ran a best of 11.7@125mph. Its still running after about 15 weekends of racing not one problem and gets around 40mpg.

So once again I'm shaking my head and going WTF??? These Hondas are a lot more then even I give them credit for.
Pretty cool, 65 stang
