For us ecomodders, yes. For normal drivers, not a chance. You'll need to monitor your voltage and definitely have an on board charger handy to plug in where you go if there is no sun. Also, long trips will still be a problem unless you can match the power consumption of the car with the panels. On a Metro, since it only pulls a few amps, I think this is doable. For other cars, you'd have to measure and make sure you have enough power generation. Of course, again on cloudy days, this is a problem.
