I agree and I think that is an attitude we all should share. The Prius driver who gets 100mpg isn't doing good for the environment, he is doing less bad. I liken it to smoking filtered cigarettes. You aren't improving your health you are lessening your devastation of it.

I just don't share in the attitude that we can have our cake and eat it too. Those that felt relief as they started smoking filtered cigarettes were kidding themselves. Those who feel a relief by driving a "green" car or hypermiling are kidding themselves. We will never live in complete harmony with the environment and it is a personal struggle to determine what relationship we want to have with nature. It just irks me to see people take satisfaction in polluting, but then again you can't let guilt get in the way of living a happy life.

Why did society forget to teach me that black and white only exist as grey?
