The engines are off the shelf as it were for marine diesels. Pretty small actually not much bigger than a tractor engine.
Typically idle, for 15 to 30 minuets looking at wild life, then running full governed power to the next spot for 30 minutes. Up to 150 passengers. Very similar to some of the high speed twin haul ferries in new york.
