i've been thinking about this one as well. my compressor quit working a bout two years ago. my main concern with removing it is letting the refrigerant out into the atmosphere, which i'm guessing would do much more harm than the tiny amount of CO2 i'd be reducing.
any thoughts on how to safely remove an a/c system?
