??? Depending on where you live natural gas is from $.73 EQUIVALENT to $2.25 EQUIVALENT per "gallon" as gas. That equivalent means the same energy content as gasoline. Natural gas in terms of being a fuel is much cheaper per mile than gasoline which is all the counts. You can bank on that but because natural gas is new as an automotive fuel you will find massive price variations from county to county and state to state.

Trouble is our wonderfull government rapes you on the cost of equipment for onroad vehicles, although I am told a Mexican conversion (which uses the same brand/type of parts ours do) are usually about $800 including installation. I think the $800 is where we should be moving toward, if you live in a city with natural gas heating in each house you just need an expensive pump to deliver it.

The legal payback period was around 6 years but again depends on where you live.
