Lighthouse Park did mostly escape the damage. The storm was very selective about where it hit. Luckily, We had just cut down two damaged trees by our house a few months before the storm hit. We literally live in a forest so I can tell you that night was terrifying. Luckily, all but two of the trees around our house are red alders. Sixty foot tall alders, but very flexible. I remember one gust that took down five hemlocks a couple of hundred feet from our house. All this with the power out for 8 hours. Woo hoo! Gotta love island living. Keeps you on your toes.
