A very recent HOT ROD Magazine issue carried an article on 50-50 water/methanol alcohol injection.
A constant-pressure pump delivers the mix through calibrated fixed-orifice stainless steel jets to cool the supercharged "charge" before it enters the combustion chamber to prevent detonation as in the aircraft.
I'll bring the article next time along with the C and D test of the P-51.
I think HOT ROD is online,and articles may be available that way.
By the way,the Air Force uses demineralized and deionized water with methanol so there are no dissolved salts that can come out of solution and build up on (in) the orifice.
