History of the life of "Betty" the F150:
Purchased from ford 100% financing at 0% interest in Aug of 07.
Gas prices increased dramatically causing decrease in sales on trucks and SUVs.
Market crashed and prices on Trucks and SUVs further declined.
Upside-down on loan to value by about $4,000 based on Private Party Sale on kbb.com. I have been trying to sell it as well, no takers. Apparently there are a LOT of trucks for sale driving the price down.
I have done the MPG/GPM calculations. I am spending an avg of $95-$108 a month more on gas when comparing it to a 25mpg Sedan. That was based on an avg of my previous mpg of 12.6 and my new mpg of 16.5. Obviously the cruise control estimate won't be entirely accurate due to traffic to and from work.
So in the spirit of being helpful... Can anyone shed light on cost effectiveness of cold air filters or exhaust? What kind of increase in mpg can I expect?
