I think it looks really good too. You could probably get away with 300 amps for very brief periods of time. That would work out to the same power as 150v 600amp I suppose, since I would probably run it at 300v 300amp. Most of the time it would stay way below 300amp. I think that would work. And $75 for 3 buy it nows would be enough for a 6 pack. That's cheap. If I had to guess at the total inverter parts cost, it would be around $200-300 in this case. My goal with this project would be to use IGBTs that could be gotten from Ebay. They don't seem to have a shortage for some reason.

The problem with the 6 pack that we didn't win is that it would be a one-off controller. You aren't going to find that sort of thing normally. If it turns out to be too low of power, the 1200v 600amp ones go for $50 each, but if this power turns out acceptable, that would be perfect. It's funny that an AC Space Vector drive will probably turn out to be cheaper than the Open Revolt DC controller, assuming the Ebay IGBT supply stays around! hehe. That's funny.
