As for those window shade things, someone needs to come up with a very low profile version for modders who want the functionality with less frontal area and drag.
Or a rare-earth magnet attachment system so you can take 'em off for the majority of time it's not raining.

I forgot to say that I have seen super-flush vent-shades on (current generation) Honda Civics and Honda Fits. But I can't find a good picture right now.
