Interesting, but that is a lot to take in... I've had the urge to do a little personal investigating on my own, especially with arguments that cheap gas stations pump less/inferior gas. It appears CA is like AZ: no temperature compensation... It would still be neat to do a comparison of local gas stations at different times of the day.

While there may be some creedance to that statement, I assume pumps suck from the bottom of the tank anyways. Logically, they aren't pumping from the top...the question is just how deep do they go?

Canadians "won" because retailers were the ones getting screwed. Canada is generally a cold place, so 1 gallon of gas there has more energy than usual. To prevent overselling gas, retailers fought for temperature compensation and won. Retailers = 1, Consumers = -1...
