Nobody would steal a Metro even if gas is outrageous. Stolen cars are stripped for parts and cut up for scrap. High demand parts are from popular vehicles like the Hondas.
Can you imagine some dude pulling into the chop shop with a Geo Metro? His boys would all laugh at him and then feel bad for the poor individual who had his Geo stolen and make him return it.
