The original poster was looking for a tach, and I made a suggestion for that.

I don't have one yet (for the Ford Broncos), but the MPGuino would be an excellent investment assuming you have fuel injection. If you plan on traveling highway speeds and mountain passes you will not get the stellar MPGs that some of us slow-pokes are getting. But by adjusting your driving style and using SOME hypermiling techniques you should get much better mileage than if you "drove it like you stole it".

I don't know what you have done to your Metro, but aero mods, warm air intake, maybe lowering the car, and an engine block heater might be beneficial. 155/80 LRR tires (read: skinny) will also help.
