4/5/6 speed (standard) with a pretty steep overdrive
3/4 cylinder, under 2.5L
lowish Cd
Under 2200 lbs preferably under 2000lbs
Older diesel VW's are a good choice too, pretty much anything diesel with surpass the gas "brother" in MPGs.
