I guess I'm just old.
my angle is it's kinda like how I'd rather drive an econo car around town than a 4x4, regardless of fuel price. it's lagom car.

A full-on quad, (ignoring the kiddie ones whose dimensions prevent adults comfortably riding) is fairly bulky, powerful, loud, suited to the adrenaline sports for which they're bought. a micro-motor assisted pedal vehicle gives you the pedaling experience, but you can go for hours longer. I owned (but have since sold) a 25cc bike engine and it was definitely bicycling, not scootering or moped'ing. I just could see 80 miles of terrain while getting 20 miles of exercise... much less boring than just riding around my neighborhood. That's how I feel about the idea of motorizing this trailcart - it's lagom power and exercise, enough but not too much of either.
