Couple questions.

How do the Eagle rods help with the lean burn?

The only thing I can think of is that, they will either be more resistant to damage from knock, or you have rods that are longer or shorter than stock rods to monkey with the compression ratio. Or something completely different...?

All other things being equal, higher compression ratio will improve overall Carnot efficiency. Look at diesels, 18:1 up to 20+ :1

Of course, all other things are not equal. We prefer that our engines not destroy themselves in short order. High combustion temperatures are good for efficiency, but bad for NOx. You win some, you lose some.

You only have to optimize about a dozen variables here to hit a home run, most of which negatively affect each other. You have chosen an impressive project with ambitious goals.
