I ordered some GREY electrical tape off the internet. THe black tape held up great and the plasitc held up, so I decided that this was now my PERMANENT intall. you can see the edge of the plastic is not flush on the grille up flush along the body line. The black electrician tape had no effect on the finish.
I went ahead and closed the driver side lower grill where my extra intake is. I figure I don't need exrta cold air this time of the year.
