If you averaged ~47+mpg in your Accord that would probably be true since the embodied energy of manufacturing is ~13% of a car's
total energy use, but at ~35-40mpg the environmental footprint of your Accord is probably slightly larger than the footprint of Bob's 2003 Prius.
